Last weekend, I had the pleasure of capturing the love and laughter of a beautiful South Asian Indian couple in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park. As an award-winning wedding photographer, I always strive to create unique and memorable engagement shoots for my clients, and this one was definitely a standout.
As soon as we arrived at the park, the couple’s energy was electric with excitement. They were both dressed in traditional Indian attire, the bride-to-be in a stunning red saree and the groom-to-be in a dashing kurta. We began the shoot with a few traditional poses, but it wasn’t long before the couple’s playful personalities came through.
We explored the park’s lush gardens and serene lake, capturing candid moments of the couple laughing, holding hands, and even dancing together. One of my favorite shots from the day was of the couple sitting on a park bench, the bride’s saree billowing in the breeze behind them.
But the highlight of the shoot was when the couple brought out a colorful array of Indian sweets and we captured them indulging in the treats and sharing them with each other. It was such a fun and unique way to incorporate their culture into the shoot, and it made for some truly special and personal images.
As the sun began to set, we ended the shoot with a romantic stroll around the lake, the couple’s love for each other shining through in every frame. It was a truly memorable day, and I can’t wait to capture the couple’s special day as they tie the knot.
